sunday not-so-scary

after a lifetime of dreading sundays, I'm learning to enjoy them.

For most of my adult life, Sunday has been a mixed bag of a day.

When I think of the last day of the weekend, I think of sitting through long church sermons as a child, crossing my fingers that my dad would take us to Pizza Hut for the lunch buffet after the service was finally over.

I think of rainy, sleepy days spent holed up in a study carrel, thumbing…
