I bought a tarot deck and was like, ummm, when do I start receiving divine messages?
I thought that reading tarot needed to be super serious. I actually practiced my shuffling because I thought, “okay Katie, if you’re going to be a Tarot Reader (TM), you’d better learn to shuffle in a way that doesn’t end in 52-card pickup territory.”
But you know what? Spirituality just ain’t that serious.
Is it seriously life-changing stuff? Absolutely. But you can have a pocket full of crystals you can’t name and still be spiritual. You can need to look up every single tarot card every single time and still be spiritual.
Spirituality is not a competition. It’s a quieter shifting of perspective. It’s tuning in to the parts of you that have been silenced and that are now speaking up. It’s standing under a full moon and thinking, “hey, this is pretty cool.” It’s picking up a tarot deck, drawing a card and just listening to what comes through.
This is a safe space to get a lil bit woo.
I’m woo curious, as I like to say. I bet you are too. I’ll talk a lot about tarot and my approach to the 78 cards. I’m gonna nerd out about symbolism, ways to read intuitively and my favorite decks. I’m going to talk about the heightened interest in tarot, spirituality and how that fits in with what’s going on in our world. I’m going to talk about SCAMMERS! Because geez. There are a lot of them out there in the spirituality world. If anyone slides into your DMs and says “grand rising,” before asking to read for you, block and be blessed.
But truthfully, I simply want to share what I’m thinking about and what I’m curious about. I’m not an expert. I’m just a fellow human who is trying to figure it all out. And tarot has helped me.
I hope it helps you, too.
